About us
Colin Richardson has been established in practice since 1985 and fully appreciates the pressures and pitfalls of running a business, he knows and understands that the accounts section of any business is just part of a big picture and left unattended it is an area that can incur considerable and unecessary costs and worry, it is for this very reason that the flexible communication approach has been adopted by our firm.
Prior to 1985 Colin worked as a consultant with one of the UK's leading international accountancy firms. Colin's career has spanned across the globe, he has worked extensively in Kenya where he consulted both with the hospitality industry and overseas investors and accounting. He has also worked in Austria where he was involved with acquisition, disposal and corporate investment and Colin Richardson Accountants still has today, clients in Russia, Canada, Spain, Kenya, Italy, Austria and Australia.
Colin is well known and respected in the Norfolk business community and has excellent links both with the banking institutions, lawyers and the various government agencies.
Colin Richardson Accountants can boast that very few clients ever move on to pastures new... some of our clients have been with us since the firm commenced trading and a large percentage of the client base have been with us since their own commencement in business.
We pride ourselves on an approach that is 'refreshing' and offers the client the opportunity to just 'pop in' and chat with us through our "walk in tax shop" facility.

Jayne Brooks - Your first contact for the Walk in Tax Shop! Jayne is also PA to Colin Richardson and reception / administration supervisor. Jayne has been with the firm since October 2000.

Simon Richardson FMAAT MATT - Partner – Simon has been with the firm since leaving school in 1996 and has obtained qualifications with both the Association of Accounting Techinicians and the Association of Taxation Technicians. Simon oversees the corporate department of the firm's client list as well as managing his own portfolio of unincorporated clients.

Scott Chapman – Practice Manager – As well as overseeing general office matters Scott heads the "walk in tax shop" advising prospective clients of their accounting and taxation requirments. Scott also oversees the payroll department and manages a portfolio of both incorporated and unincorporated clients. Scott has been with the firm since April 2000.

Paul Barkway - Senior Accountant – Paul tends to a wide ranging client portfolio of both incorporated and unincorporated clients and also prepares files for audit and advises on technical issues. Paul has been with the firm since September 1993.

Billy Lyons - Billy joined the firm in September 2011 and has shown good early progress and with the skills already demonstrated has integrated well with the team. Billy will commence AAT qualification courses throughout 2012.
